A Throwing Knife.
A long range weapon that can be used to take out guards from a distance. Many Hashashin, because of the economic difficulty during the time of the Crusades, had a limited number. They had a large store of Throwing Knives in the Masyaf Fortress. Many thugs also make use of these deadly weapons. Hashashin gain a larger capacity of throwing knives as they progress through the ranks, beginning with 5 and maxing out at 15.
Many throwing knives are designed to kill the target in one hit, and even more do so. This, however, does not work on heavily armored targets, as their armor is to thick for the Throwing Knives to penetrate.
