Eduardo De Leon (1577 - unknown) was a Spanish Assassin, who was born and fought during the Spanish Renaissance, he was the third son of Marco and Abella De Leon and older brother of Agusto De Leon, Eduardo was known for killing John Cabot. Eduardo was a Spanish copy of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, because he had charisma, liked to joke a lot and also was a ladies man. Eduardo was an ancestor of twins Thomas Whitehound and Barry Whitehound and Barry's son Andrew Whitehound.

Early Life[]

Eduardo was born on May 4 1577 in Madrid. Eduardo was the son of wealthy Spanish Assassin Marco De Leon and noblewoman Abella, he was their third child. Even as a baby, Eduardo proved himself as a strong infant, with a fine set of lungs and very, very healthy. Eduardo was born into the fighting families: The De Leon's and Nieto's, Eduardo's main nemesis was Benecio Nieto. At age 4, Eduardo was able to walk, talk and possessed the intelligence to most things so Marco decided it was right to train his third son in the ways of the Assassin. Marco trained him for many years until the age of 15.

By the age of 10, Eduardo began to hate the Nieto family and hated them the most out of his family members, he hated them so much he formed his own gang in order to fight off against Benecio's gang. The only family member in his gang was his second eldest brother Clemente (Who was also in training to become an Assassin), but one day in June of 1592. His life would change forever, after arriving home from an errand, he saw that his house had been destroyed from the inside. He saw that his family had been arrested by the guards, suddenly he saw his younger brother, Agusto had not been arrested, the two then combined their trained skills to try and break their family out of prison. While trying to break their family out, Marco told Eduardo of his robes that he always wanted to wear as a child were finally his.

Eventually the two only managed to free their sister and mother, the De Leon's returned home to pack their things and leave Madrid and headed for Las Palmas. They were then ambushed by Benecio and his gang, Benecio claimed he wanted Eduardo's blood, Eduardo and Agusto fought off Benecio and his gang until they finally retreated. The last of the De Leon's travelled for hours unaware of where to go, they were then found by fellow Assassin and friend of Marco, Diego. Diego then welcomed the family to his personal village, Diego then promised to train Eduardo and Argusto and to find his family a home in his village.
Training[]
The day after, Eduardo travelled back to Madrid to try and find his father and brothers, but then saw that they were in a public execution and then saw something that would traumatize him for life: the death of his father and brothers.

Eduardo then swore revenge on the people involved in the murder of his father and brothers, the only person's face he remembered was Pirro Abano a Spanish senator, with little training he had by his father, Eduardo escaped and returned to Las Palmas and to Diego's village. Eduardo told his his mother and two siblings that the rest were dead, the family did not take the news well. From then on Eduardo trained harder and concentrated more everyday. After 2 years, Eduardo finally completed his training and was still hellbent on getting revenge, later that year Eduardo returned to Madrid to confront Pirro Abano. After a few days of finding information, Eduardo found out that Pirro was attending a party held by fellow Templar, Bernardo (Animus records could not find his surname). Eduardo found out it was perfect time to strike he then and there assassinated Pirro.

After Eduardo had killed Pirro, he demanded him to name as many people that was involved in his father's death before he himself died, due to Pirro's old age, Pirro was unable to speak and died on the spot. Eduardo then saw that Bernardo was trying to escape, Eduardo chased him down but Bernardo managed to escape. Two days later while Eduardo and Agusto were training with some mercenaries, the village was under attack by Benecio (Who had recently been iniciated into the Order), his family and the Madrid guards. Eduardo, Agusto and Diego fought the Templars with the mercenaries, the feud soon ended after Eduardo brutally killed Benecio.

Eduardo then demands the exact thing he wanted from Pirro, due to Benecio having nothing to lose he lists the names of the people involved in his father's death including the current grandmaster of the Templar's the names are: Bernardo, Danilo De Santigo, Fausto Lopez, Francisco Santana and John Cabot, Benecio then begged Eduardo to put him out of his misery, Eduardo did as asked.

While hunting for the Templar's, Eduardo saw that a young girl was being pestered by some guys and that they were threatening to molest her, Eduardo being a ladie's man and a man of honor stepped in and told them to back off before something bad would happen, they did not listen and so Eduardo beat the boys down, the girl then thanked him and introduced herself as Aidia Zavala (the soon-to-be love of his life), Aidia said it would be her "pleasure" to repay him, Eduardo knowing what she meant thanked her for the offer but another time. Eduardo then suggested she move to Diego's villa where the community is safe and generous and so she did.
Hunt for the Templars
In December of 1595 after confirming from guards and moles alike, Eduardo had found his first Templar, Danilo De Santigo but he did not kill him, Eduardo followed him to a Templar meeting and found out the whereabouts of Bernardo, Fausto Lopez and Francisco Santana, they went to Barcelona in hiding. Eduardo then broke the party and killed everyone in the room. Eduardo's next destination was Barcelona, Eduardo returned to Diego's village and announced he would be leaving for Barcelona the next day, later that day Diego told Eduardo not to let vengeance cloud his mind, Agusto said the same thing later that day but Eduardo replied: "You have not seen what I have, I saw our father and brothers murdered I'm lucky to even stay sane".

The next day, Eduardo said his goodbyes to Diego and his family, Eduardo told Agusto to keep a close eye on their mother and sister. After Eduardo arrived in Barcelona he was greeted by the grandmaster of the Thieves Gield (Animus Records could not find his name but we shall call him The Thief), The Thief knew why Eduardo was there and agreed to help Eduardo kill the Templar's. Eduardo was eager to kill them but The Thief told Eduardo to be patient and let it happen on its own, and plus its better to strike when least expected. In October 1597, after two years of being in Barcelona, Eduardo was getting eager but luckily one of the thieves told The Thief that Francisco Santana was arranging a walk in Barcelona with no guards with him, Eduardo knew it was the perfect time to strike and was pleased he waited. Three hours later, Eduardo assassinated Francisco in a crowd where no one would notice him, Eduardo then left as soon as he felt the blade silently go through his body. In January 1598, Eduardo also killed Fausto Lopez.

On May 5, 1598, The Thief learned of the whereabouts Bernardo and that he was in hiding, Eduardo went to find him as soon as possible, later on he saw that Bernardo's palace was heavily guarded so he threw a smoke bomb at the guards then assassinated them and took the bodies and threw them in the middle of the palace to distract other guards. While the guards were distracted, Eduardo quickly assassinated Bernardo while he was gazing out his window to see what was going on. As Bernardo was dying he decided to tell Eduardo of John Cabot's whereabouts and that he would not be leaving there for another 15-Years.

Stay in Barcelona and return to Las Palmas[]
After all that The Thief had done for Eduardo, Eduardo decided to stay in Barcelona and repay him and the thieves. So, Eduardo stayed in Barcelona until December of 1601 after he thought he'd done enough and decided to return to his home. Even then the news about John Cabot egged Eduardo on for 7-Years.

Eduardo only returned to tell his family and Diego that he was alive and well but he was still going to leave for Italy (John's current location). In a way Eduardo said hi and bye, Eduardo asked Agusto and his Assassin's (Agusto had been recruitng Assassins while he was gone) if he would come to Italy with him, Agusto agreed to come with him, after that Eduardo sent a letter to The Thief asking if him and his thieves would go to Italy to kill John.

In April 1602, The Assassins and Thieves arrived in Italy, the problem was they did not know where Cabot was and so they all spent months attempting to learn of his whereabouts, finally in August 1602, the Assassins learned of Cabot's whereabouts he was staying in his own Fort currently in Forlì. Eduardo and the Assassins launched an attack on Cabot Fort but the guards already knew they were coming and so a huge battle broke out.

The Assassins seemed to be losing to the Guards due to them having an advantage with the cannons. The Assassins began to retreat but with a few short words of encouragment from Eduardo the Assassins began to fight back once more but still were losing, eventually with Eduardo's arrogance he went to fight the guards on his own, but a cannon was blown up next to him and the impact took him off his feet knocking him out for the rest of the battle.

Eduardo then woke up in a small house in Italy, he saw a wife and her husband had found him, Eduardo asked how long he was out and found out he was in a coma for 10 months, and had actually missed his 30th Birthday. The Assassin then asked if they had won but was turned down and found out all the Assassins were killed including his brother, Eduardo was upset by this news and then asked how they found him, the couple then said, the husband had found him in the battlefield laying there bleeding. They then said a mysterious man left him some new robes due to his old ones being ripped to shreds almost.

Eduardo then thanked the couple and told them he would repay them one day but they replied simply saying "No need". Eduardo then spent another few months tracking down John Cabot after he had gone "missing".

In December 1603, While accidently killing a Templar who was secretly an Assassin, the Assassin told him to take "this", Eduardo then looked at it on a viewpoint and asked "what knowledge do you hold?", the object then glew and showed Eduardo the location of Cabot, Eduardo saw that he was in Rome. While at the docks as he was about to go to Rome, a man appeared an revealed himself as Diego, the one who brought the robes to him, Diego also revealed that Agusto was alive and back at Las Palmas but was in a coma also, Diego also told Eduardo that he would be going to Rome with him.

Eduardo vs John
After arriving in Rome, the year was 1604, Eduardo and Diego devised a plan. Diego said he would distract the guards in Cabot's palace while Eduardo would sneak in and kill John Cabot. Eduardo did as planned but once again Cabot was expecting it, it turned out John had discovered the Spear of Eden while in hiding and so Eduardo used the Apple to duplicate himself (like Ezio did). The Eduardo duplicates beat John but John had a trick up his sleeve and used the Spear to blast Eduardo into a wall knocking him out, John then took the Apple and to make sure he was down for the count John stabbed him while he was knocked out. Eduardo then woke up with pain and struggled to see that John had opened a secret door. Eduardo then saw that John was attempting to open another secret door which led to a Vault.

John then turned around and started talking to Eduardo about order, but Eduardo stopped him half way through throwing a knife at his hand where the Apple would fall out, Eduardo then took the Apple and duplicated himself once more and defeated John again, Eduardo told John (see quote above) that he was not going to kill him, but Eduardo had foreseen the future picking the Apple up once more and saw that John was going to try and kill him, so Eduardo had his Hidden Gun ready and shot John in the stomach. Eduardo then used the Spear/Apple to open the door. Eduardo then saw the One Who Came Before: Minerva, she explained through him to a phantom named Andrew of a third and secret coming to the End of the World and that someone named Desmond would delay the third coming to give Andrew enough time to stop it. Minerva then vanished.

Leaving Rome[]
After killing John Cabot and discovering the world was going to end, it left Eduardo confused. He then heard Diego's voice calling for him, Eduardo went to go see Diego and told him everything Minerva told him, Diego said there was nothing to worry about and his descendant most likely had it covered. Eduardo and Diego then fled from Rome but Eduardo said he had to do one more thing. Eduardo stated, the Apple was too powerful and needed to be forgotten, Diego agreed to help him get rid of it. Eduardo then threw the Apple in the sea.

Return to Spain[]
Eduardo returning to Spain
After Eduardo had returned to Spain it was his birthday and the best gift was to return to Spain with the weight of revenge and justice being lifted of his shoulders, after being gone for two years, Eduardo was glad to be back. When Eduardo arrived in Spain he was then greeted like a hero, Eduardo felt good about himself once again and felt like he was 15-Years-Old once more but he was actually now 31 and returning to his old self after being in a dark abyss of desiring revenge. Eduardo went to go see how his brother was and discovered that his brother Agusto had been in a coma for a year and 11 months now due to the stress of Eduardo's lust for revenge and explosion of a canon's impact being near him, but a miracle happened. Agusto had woken up from his coma, Agusto had missed his 29th birthday and was a two months away from turning 30. Eduardo and Agusto then embraced eachother and both said they were in dark places, spiritually and mentally. A party was held in Eduardo's honor for his success in killing those responsible for his father and brother's death and also because it was his birthday, that night Eduardo decided to take Aidia's offer.

Legacy[]
Due to Eduardo discovering the secrets of the third coming of The End of The World, Andrew Whitehound would never have found that out and therefor the world not be existing. After Barry's body was recovered by Abstergo in 2016, they extracted his DNA and discovered all of his ancestors including Eduardo. In 2017, his memories were relived by an Abstergo Entertainment research analyst. Eduardo's memories were also relived by his descendant Andrew Whitehound in 2033.
